Have you ever wanted to learn the basics of how to alter and tailor ready to wear clothing? Whether you have items in your closet that have never fit right or you love to thrift and want to customize your finds, learn how to take the fear out of taking apart a piece of clothing and putting it back together! The most common alteration asked for is hemming, and we’ll learn the basics for how you can hem your garments yourself! Bring a clothing item and matching thread along to the class and we will assess the length needed and then learn the steps involved to hem your clothing item. Bring your own sewing machine complete with everything needed to operate the machine and your sewing kit (scissors, pins, seam gauge, etc.).
Knowledge of your machine and basic sewing techniques required for this class- if you’re new to sewing, please check out my Sewing 101 class first!
