Table Charm Placemats

person Pat Abbitt

The Journey

Need a gift to impress? Or want to spruce up your holiday table? These placemats are a perfect solution using just a jelly roll or strip set. Basic strip piecing, as well as Seminole piecing techniques, makes something beyond a simple strip project.

One jelly roll will make 4 placemats and a table runner, but we are only going to concentrate on the 4 placemats. You will also need some background fabric and an accent color.

Material requirements:
* Jelly roll or similar set of 2 ½” strips
* ½ yd Accent fabric
* 1 ¼ yd background
* Pattern – Table Charm Two. Available from many sites on line.
* 1 ½ yd backing (not needed for class)
* 1 yd batting (not needed for class)

Bring your rotary cutter, machine with a ¼” foot, and general quilting tools.
